Unemployed dad knows a lot of words

  1. Haha.

    Cobra health care?

Very cool, I’ll be sure to check in a read some more of your webcomics.

  2. Thanks Tom! COBRA is the name of the service that allows people who lose their health benefits at the company they are leaving to continue the health care coverage program by paying both their portion and the employer paid portion. It’s a new word that I learned after I stopped working for the nasty Fortune 500 company I worked for. Though since I left, they have been reduced to a Fortune 1000 company. Ha!

  3. As poor as I am, I might need a personal trainer at $120.hour to whip my butt into shape. Stress is not a good weight loss plan! Drink lots of water, Unemployed Dad!

  4. My Wii fit Mii, my unemployed dad avatar and me all advocate exercise as part of a balanced lifestyle! Trainers do kick butt though, they really know what they are talking about.

  10. Hi Mike,

Thanks for visiting my Free Your Chi blog and adding that excellent bit of salt history!

Love your webcomics. This was a real treat at 1 am after 5 hours of RockBand. If you haven’t tried it but you have a Wii, ask your daughter. She’ll know.

Did she get her toy back from her majesty, the Pacific ocean?

  11. She did, but I did the rescuing and she still credits her big sister for retrieving Super Dog from an unhappy fate.

  16. Like the comic. I’m glad I checked it out. On a side note: do you draw the strip on your pc, or scan it in? If you draw it on the pc – what app do you use? Just curious.

  17. I scan it, I have never found a good way to draw into a PC, the mouse is like drawing with soap, and with the Wacom tablet is easy to lose track of visually b/w the tablet, the pen and the monitor. I’ve seen pro animators like Genndy Tatarovsky use tablet PC’s, I think that’s what the pro’s use. If worse comes to worse, I leave the paper, pencils, erasers and ink out at night and hope when I wake up little elves will have done it for me, but it hasn’t worked yet.
